Follow these steps if you believe you've been scammed by a business
  1. Document everything. Save all receipts, contracts, emails, text messages, and other communications.
  2. Contact the business directly. Give them a chance to resolve the issue before escalating.
  3. Put it in writing. Send a formal complaint letter via certified mail with return receipt requested.
  4. Contact your credit card company. If you paid by credit card, you may be able to dispute the charge.
  5. File a complaint with regulatory agencies. Report to the BBB, FTC, and your state's attorney general.
  6. Consider legal action. Small claims court may be an option for disputes under a certain dollar amount.
  7. Share your experience. Submit a report on our platform to warn others about the business.
